It’s been some time since the last post and there are many updates to share. Since this Spring ATSA has hosted multiple NSCA registered Sporting Clay tournaments. These shoots have been made possible by the hard work, dedication and countless number of volunteer hours contributed by many members. The teamwork that has been involved to get the grounds, clubhouse, equipment, fields and courses ready for the tournament each month was simply amazing. Since this Spring much knowledge has been gained regarding the workflow and process to make these tournaments run with the least number of hiccups possible. Our Club is dedicated to continue to update and adapt to ensure our 2027 series of NSCA registered shoots will be even more of a success. We’re all looking forward to our final NSCA registered shoot of 2026 which includes collaboration with the Hermon Skeet Club.

Since our last update we have lost a couple of our longtime members. Emerson Fleury passed on 01/18/26 and Ron Peck on 03/04/26. Although they have been missed around the Club members have enjoyed sharing many memories from their time spent together chasing clay targets over the years at ATSA.Our Club just wrapped up another successful Tuesday night Trap shooting and although this Summer started off rainy we have enjoyed many days together this Summer shooting at (and often breaking) those pesky clay targets. Our Club held our first annual Emerson Fleury Memorial Skeet Shoot. The winner of both this and the Russ Longley Shoot was Carleton. As a reminder to all it’s good to review our Safety Rules now and again. Please speak up if you see or hear of anything unsafe. Sometimes we all can use a reminder and heaven knows none of us are perfect.

Get ready to swap your shorts for thermals and wave goodbye to our snow birds. They’ll be out of here faster than High 8 on a windy day!!
