Spring cleanup

            All 4 fields need to be raked before we can start mowing – which will happen as soon as the sun starts to shine!  It was suggested we have cleanup on Sundays prior to shooting.  If everyone can come an hour early and bring lawn rakes and spend an hour doing it before shooting it would be done with.

Scheduled shooting in May

            On Saturday, May 11th we will be holding an ATA (Amateur Trap Assoc.) sanctioned trap shoot.  It will have 2 events; Event 1, 100 16 yard targets, Event 2 50 pairs of doubles.  Anyone who has never shot in an ATA trap shoot will get a free annual ATA membership and a free MTA (Maine Trap Assoc.) annual membership.  This is a $30 value.  If you would like to participate, you can shoot either or both Events.  This is the program that was sent to all registered trap shooters:

Arnold Trail will hold its first Registered Trap shoot on May 11, 2019. 

Registration will open at 9 a.m., Shooting will start at 10 a.m.

          Event 1 – 100 16 yard Singles Targets

          Event 2 – 100 (50 pairs) Doubles Targets


          Event targets – $25

          ATA Daily Fee     $3

          MTA Daily Fee    $2

Trophies:  Provided by MTA

                    For Event one – Singles Champion, 5 class winners

                     For Event two – Doubles Champion, 4 class winners

All targets will be shot on one field with voice calls and a Pat trap.

          Our second scheduled Shoot will be held on Sunday, May 19th.   It will be our Modern Skeet Championship.  This is a club shoot.  It will be 50 targets on field 1.  Cost will be $10, Registration & Shooting will begin following the monthly meeting.
